I have a question about the way the system interprets the time of day you take your temperature.
Usually, I take my temperature at 6:30am because that is when my alarm first goes off. One day, I had to get up an hour earlier, at 5:30am so I took my temperature at that time. Since I input the time I took my temperature does the system take that into account or should I be checking the box that says "discard"? (Similarly, once I took my temperature at 6:45 because I hit snooze in my sleep---should I have discarded that too?)
When should I discard a temperature if I don't have a fever etc.? Should I be discarding if I am a half hour or hour later or earlier when I wake up? I try to wake up at the same time every day (at least long enough to take my temp) but sometimes I have to get up earlier, or hit the snooze in my sleep. How late is too late (past my regular time)? How early is too early (before my regular time)?
I am asking because I didn't sign up and start charting until day 9 of my cycle, and this morning, my chart tells me that I ovulated on day 10, which happens to be the day that I woke up an took my temperature at 5:30.
I realize that it is going to take a couple of months to get this charting down, but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
